"At first, we started by sketching out some patterns that could feature in the poster. We wanted to use the pink and blue colors of the car, as they align with traditional Miami colors. Eventually, we settled on these:
"We set up the car and camera in a position we wanted, and then adjusted the lighting within the scene to reflect that of a sunny Miami day. We then brought in the patterns and used a mask to allow us to add in the same materials as we use on the car for each pattern. Doing this resulted in a two-tone effect which adds some depth and reflections to the poster."
"We went through many phases of the pattern before getting it just right. It can be tough to get spacing and balance just right, so it took a bit of time. Getting the angle and lining up the split along with adding in some foreground barriers all had a good amount of trial and error. With simplistic posters, it is easy to notice when something is off, so you have to be very precise. Overall, we are happy with the outcome and think it is unmistakably Miami."
