BWT Alpine Formula One Team returns to the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’ for the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix, the start of the final triple header of the season. Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will take to the Las Vegas Strip Circuit for the 50-lap race on Saturday night.

The high-speed track, first used by Formula One in 2023, blasts past famous landmarks in the city including the world-famous Strip. Drivers will weave by the iconic Sphere before heading to Turns 11 and 12, right around The Venetian Resort, our Team Partner, before the track speeds onto the Las Vegas Boulevard. The unique circuit has established itself quickly as one of the most glamourous in Formula One as the season now enters the home straight.

Steve Nielsen, Managing Director:

“We enter the final triple header of the season off the back of some positivity after an improved and much more competitive level of performance in São Paulo where Pierre was able to secure two points. It has been a long and, at times, gruelling season for the team as we balanced racing along with the demands of developing a completely new car. That did mean our efforts in 2025 took a bit of a hit and, clearly, we are not competing in positions that warrant good enough outcomes. We will only know in Melbourne next year the result of that decision making and we continue to apply much of our focus to on-track this year as we aim to finish the season in the best manner possible. While that appears to be tenth place in the Championship, a reality we accept, we will still give it our all to at least try to secure more points finishes at the next three events, like we did in São Paulo. It is also a great test for the entire team to demonstrate excellence across the board even without a meaningful result at the end of it. Las Vegas is a unique track for many reasons and usually throws up some surprises, like Pierre’s Qualifying performance twelve months ago when he finished in third place. It is a venue we all like attending, especially with our stay at The Venetian Resort – our team partner – as I am sure many of our guests and other partners do too. After that, we head to the Middle East for Qatar and Abu Dhabi before our 2026 projects really ramps up and comes to life.”

Pierre Gasly:

“I left São Paulo feeling relatively pleased with the two points we scored. It was a positive weekend for us in terms of pace and I was pleased to be in a competitive position in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix. While it would not impact our current position, I do think we could have been even further up the grid had some things gone our way and been in contention for more points. It’s one of those we will learn from and try to implement some improvements for the final triple header of the season. This weekend we are back in the crazy city of Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Strip Circuit is an interesting track and one I seem to click well with. It’s still so cool to race down the famous Strip and around the various landmarks in the city like The Venetian Resort, our team partner, and it’s great to be heading back there. We had an amazing Qualifying there last year and started in third position, but the race wasn’t as successful, let’s say, so the aim is to have a much more complete weekend this time around and hopefully build from our performance in Brazil. The late start times and colder temperatures make the event an interesting challenge and I’m really looking forward to facing it as we kick-start the final leg of the season.”

Franco Colapinto:

“The weekend in São Paulo was challenging on my side of the garage but it was good to have a more competitive package and one that was in the mix for points as Pierre did in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix. It means we have a lot to learn from, which hopefully we can take forwards for the last three races as it would be good to have a similar feeling in the car. The weekend was not without its highs for myself. It was amazing to be able to share with everyone that I will be remaining with the team for the 2026 season, there was no better place to announce it than in South America and I am so grateful for the incredible reception from the fans in Brazil. I am looking forward to being able to kick the season off together next year but before then we have the final three races of this year, starting with this weekend in Las Vegas. The circuit is definitely a highlight of the season and not many drivers in history can say they have raced down the famous Las Vegas Strip, so it is exciting to be returning for a second year on my side. The conditions with be a challenge to contend with, with the schedule and drop in temperatures in the desert sure to play a part in our preparation. We will be looking to keep our heads down and extract as much from the weekend as possible as we head into the home stretch of the season.”
