The home of the Italian Grand Prix is the venerated Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the historic 3.6-mile circuit that runs through the royal park on the outskirts of Milan. Known as the Temple of Speed for its long, flat-out straights through the trees, the legendary venue has hosted Formula 1 races since the championship’s inception in 1950.
Built in the 1920s, the original layout also included a banked section - not used since the 1960s, but remains in situ as a reminder of the speed and danger of motor racing in times past. Monza is also famous for its passionate crowds, the enthusiastic supporters known as the tifosi. At the end of the race they famously spill onto the circuit, with the podium positioned over the start/finish straight so drivers can celebrate with the fans.
Sadly, due to Covid restrictions, no spectators were allowed into Monza the year Pierre Gasly scored his magnificent maiden win in 2020. Since his time racing in F1, Pierre has chosen Milan as his home city, so it will be a short commute for him from his house to the autodromo. It’s also the home race for Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore and our Premium Partner Eni - the energy company with offices in Milan and global headquarters in Rome.

From its first appearance at Imola this year to the seven European races in between, Monza will mark the final destination of the year for our unique Philippe Starck-designed hospitality motorhome - which will have made the 687-mile journey from Zandvoort last weekend.
On Friday, chefs from Premium Partner MSC Cruises will be taking over the kitchen to serve guests. Also visiting Monza will be our latest competition winners, who secured a prize through the team and investor Rory McIlroy, with tickets and accommodation for this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix and the Amgen Irish Open in Dublin. To keep up to date with our latest competitions, head to RISE+.
Twelve months ago, Franco Colapinto made his Formula 1 debut with an impressive drive at Monza, completing 53 laps in hot conditions - having only driven eight consecutive laps in an F1 car before the weekend. It’s clearly a circuit that Franco enjoys - he won from pole in FIA Formula 3 back in 2023.
Speaking of Formula 3, it’s the championship finale this weekend, and while the title has already been wrapped up, there’s still an opportunity for Alpine Academy racer Nicola Lacorte to end the season on a high, while Gabriele Mini and Kush Maini will be aiming for success in Formula 2.
Finally, after starting his new role overseeing the day-to-day running at Enstone on Monday, the Italian Grand Prix also marks the first race for Steve Nielsen as Managing Director. It promises to be an action-packed and exciting end to the European F1 season.
